Iceland Winter Aurora Workshop - March 9th to March 18th 2014

Joshua Holko and Daniel Bergmann will be co-leading a winter workshop to Iceland in early 2014. This photography workshop will focus on the spectacular Northern Lights (Aurora), glaciers, partially frozen waterfalls and coastal landscapes of Iceland. The days are starting to get longer in March, which provides wonderful golden light on what will hopefully be a freshly snow covered landscape. Iceland is one of the most exciting and rewarding photography locations in the world. Probably nowhere else is there such a diversity of subject matter in a relatively small area. Glaciers and geothermal areas, waterfalls and lush green valleys, majestic mountains and black volcanic beaches. Along with ever changing weather and spectacular light conditions. Iceland is geologically a very young country and very much a work in progress. It’s a photographer’s dream come true. Iceland workshops sell out fast and places are f...

Namibia Overland Photographic Journey - March 29th to April 7th 2014

In March 2014, Andy Biggs and Joshua Holko will be co-leading a safari to the deserts in Namibia, Africa. The goal of this safari is to photograph the breathtaking desert landscapes of Namibia in a different way than Andy has offered on his Namibia trips in the past: in an overland fashion. This will be an overland photographic journey, and we have complete flexibility to stop to take photographs at any time along the way. We wanted to put this trip together that has a good balance between flexibility, photographic opportunities and comfortable accommodations. This approach will also enable us to carry more than enough amount of camera baggage, so bring what you need! On the South Western Coast of Africa, where the icy Atlantic ocean meets the world’s oldest desert lies a place that is known for its landscapes as much as the Serengeti is known for its abundant wildlife. The unique combination of desert, grassland and cold ocean current fo...
